There are so many different types of chiropractic services out there. Knowing where to go or what type of care you need can be difficult to figure out. Chiropractic adjustments are all about improving motion of a joint through a specific thrust. This can be done in a variety of different techniques. Below are descriptions of the various services and techniques offered at Active Life Chiropractic. If you have any questions, please give us a call or send an email!

  • Diversifed Chiropractic Care

This is the “old school” type chiropractic (but NOTHING like what is floating around social media right now). The adjustment often creates a popping sound.

  • Thompson Drop Table Adjusting

The drop table allows the chiropractor to adjust a joint without using as much force. It is an extremely safe way to treat a variety of conditions that can cause pain and dyfunction. Drop adjusting is used from top to bottom when indicated.

  • Activator Methods Technique

The Activator Technique is an instrument assisted technique that uses a low force adjustment to improve the joint range of motion at the segment the chiropractor is adjusting. People call it the “clicker” or the “thumper” but unlike a random or full body “thumping” it is delivered in a very specific manner.

  • Webster Maternity Technique

Webster Technique is a post-graduate certification through International Pediatric Chiropractic Association that focuses on the chiropractic care of pregnant women. Chiropractic can be safe and effective during pregnancy when using this technique.

  • Graston Technique/ Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique

Using a stainless steel tool, we can break up adhesions and aid in Soft Tissue healing after injury. An effective technique to help remodel adhesions and restore proper soft tissue function in an area.

  • Laser Therapy

Our office utilizes a Lightforce Laser which is a top of line tool for improving recovery times and outcomes after injury or even chronic pain patterns. Laser is used in combination with chiropractic or soft tissue therapies or can be a stand alone therapy depending on the patient needs. Laser therapy is only used on current patient’s in the office so after establishing care with a new patient visit, laser may be a good fit for your case.

  • Rock Tape

Rock Tape is a myofascial taping that can help stabilize an area after treatment or reduce swelling/inflammation. Most often used during athletic performance or significant pain episodes.

  • Decompression Therapy

This is a table that the patient is placed on and uses mechanical traction to “pull” an area apart to improve disc issues or joint issues.
